Wednesdays & Early Release:

All Wake County Public Schools will release school early every Wednesday for the 2009-2010 school year.  There are 8 early release days when students will be released at 11:55am in order for all staff to participate in 2 ½ hour staff development sessions.  All other Wednesdays, students will be released at 1:25pm in order for all staff members to participate in school wide Professional Learning Communities.

The 8 Wednesdays that students will be released at 11:55am:

• July 22, 2009
• August 12, 2009
• September 2, 2009
• October 21, 2009
• December 2, 2009
• February 17, 2010
• March 10, 2010
• April 21, 2010

Every Wednesday (other than the ones listed above) will have students released at 1:25pm.

*If students are on a sports team, they will be allowed to remain at school and will be supervised during a study hall period by teacher assistants at ECMS.  No other students will be allowed to stay after school on Wednesdays.
