Families who would like to know more about East Cary Middle School can attend a Guided Tour on the following dates:
- Thursday, May 24 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. New Student Orientation
Please register for a tour by calling (919) 466-4377. All tours will begin promptly at 8:15am. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to get checked-in. |

This year, we are pleased to announce that rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be able to register for their elective courses online for the 2012-2013 school year. This will allow us to begin placing students in his/her elective courses much faster than before! Please visit the "Registration 2012-13" section (on the left side of the webpage, under "Quick Links") to begin registering for core and elective courses for the 2012-13 school year. Course selection must be completed by May 1st for Tracks 1 and 3, and June 1st for Track 4. Under "Registration 2012-13," you will also find the 2012-13 Academic Planning Guide, and the 2012-13 Elective Catalog. |

ECMS Announces Research Partnership with NC State Wildlife, Fisheries and Conservation Biology Program |

East Cary Middle School students will have the opportunity to participate in a research project investigating the Mediterranean Geckos that have established a population on the school campus. Researchers believe the geckos originally escaped from a science classroom over a decade ago and they have taken advantage of the abundance of warm buildings, available prey resources, and the relative lack of predators to gain a solid foothold in the area.

 We are very excited to share that WCPSS has just announced that ECMS will be a STEM school in 2012-13. As a STEM school, ECMS students will have access to extra instructional technology resources and opportunities.
